Gwitha Kernow - Cherishing Cornwall, Rethinking Rubbish is a new Integrated Waste Management Strategy for Cornwall by the County Council and the six District and Borough Councils.

Every year the people of Cornwall produce enough waste to fill Truro Cathedral. About recycling, Jack Chough the project mascot says, 'it can't turn frogs into princes, but recycling is still close to magic - it means taking a waste product and transforming it into something valuable.'

The Schools listed opposite are playing their part by undertaking projects which enhance the children's understanding of waste management and the importance of recycling and promotes the issues in their local communities.
